Kobus Schabort

With more than 20 years’ experience as an attorney of the High Court, Kobus is widely regarded as an expert in the field of Insolvency. He has intricate knowledge of the functions of the Master of the High Court, the rights and duties of a liquidator or trustee as well as those of the insolvent individual or company. During his years of uninterrupted service, Kobus has been at the head of numerous litigation campaigns in South Africa and abroad to recover funds to the benefit of creditors of insolvent estates. In his spare time, Kobus enjoys farming, hunting and time with his family.

Reinhardt Potgieter

Admitted in 2014 as an attorney of the High Court with Right of Appearance, Reinhardt has gained extensive knowledge in the field of contract law with focus on commercial lease agreements and business structures. Exposed to complicated legal conundrums from day one by Kobus as his principal, Reinhardt has gained practical experience in the field of insolvency and especially the litigation that flows therefrom. As a result, Reinhardt prepares, negotiates and enforces various commercial agreements in sectors such as the construction industry, petroleum industry and property industry. When on leave, Reinhardt enjoys spending time with his family, bowhunting, fishing and woodwork projects.

Ulana is an admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public. She is at the head of our property law department with her experienced team. Over the course of 20 years, Ulana has gained unparalleled experience in all matters surrounding property law and contract law. She is effective, driven, highly skilled and always able to find a solution to the benefit of all parties in the most complex legal situations. Years of experienced coupled with continuous honing of her professional skills ensures that our clients receive exceptional service. After a long day at the office, Ulana enjoys spending time with her loved ones, hosting dinner parties and being a SUPER-mom to her kids.

Yolandi Luus

Yolandi is an experienced litigation practitioner with a strong track record in the High Court, Labour Court and Magistrates’ Court. She is skilled in drafting applications and summonses, ensuring a cost-effective and efficient approach for clients. Her practice includes commercial litigation both locally and internationally, with extensive experience in cross-border restructuring. Yolandi has been involved in matters across more than 40 jurisdictions, providing her with valuable insight into complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes. She is known for being competent, resourceful and responsive to her clients’ needs. Outside of practice, Yolandi enjoys spending time with her family and gardening.

Vanescé Muller

Admitted in November 2019, Vanescé tended to an array of High Court trial litigation matters where she gained valuable experience in successful pursuit of client claims. Her fields of interest are family law and commercial law. She is attentive to detail, result orientated and takes pride in her ability to instantly connect with clients on a personal level. When she is not at the office, she enjoys reading and attending live music festivals.

Nicole Kets

Admitted as an attorney in February 2026, Nicole practices primarily in the administration of deceased estates, where she supports families with care, precision, and sensitivity. She understands that estate matters often arise during emotionally difficult periods and approaches each matter with both empathy and meticulous attention to detail. Nicole also has experience in conveyancing and cross-border insolvency, equipping her with a broader understanding of complex asset structures and multi-jurisdictional considerations. She is committed to guiding clients through intricate legal processes with clarity, efficiency, and professionalism. When she is not in the office, she enjoys recharging in nature and embracing the outdoors.

Leandri Botha

Admitted as an attorney of the High Court in December 2020, she is a litigation practitioner with established experience in commercial litigation, insolvency law, and company law. She has been involved in managing and assisting in complex commercial disputes, providing strategic legal support to clients across various sectors. Her practice includes motion and trial proceedings, the drafting of pleadings and legal opinions, and advising on matters relating to corporate governance, business rescue, sequestration, and liquidation proceedings. She is known for her thorough preparation, strong work ethic, and ability to engage effectively with both legal and commercial aspects of disputes. As a committed and driven legal professional, she continues to strengthen her litigation expertise while maintaining a particular interest in the development of insolvency and company law. She approaches each matter with professionalism, diligence, and a focus on delivering practical and commercially sound outcomes for clients.

Maretha van der Heever

Maretha was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in April 2021. She began her career in the legal field within a collections department, gaining extensive practical experience prior to commencing her legal studies, and now has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry.  She completed her articles in Bloemfontein and has been residing in Pongola since 2012. Maretha’s practice focuses primarily on dispute resolution and debt collection, with additional expertise in civil litigation in both the Magistrate’s and Regional Courts. She further specialises in the drafting of lease agreements and the handling of rental claims.  Maretha is committed to guiding clients through complex legal processes with clarity, efficiency, and professionalism. Outside of the office, she enjoys playing golf and deep-sea fishing.
